Take a dip in the winter waters of Walden Pond to help spread awareness about climate change. Global Warming Educational Network (GWEN) will be at Walden Pond from 2 โ 3 PM to host this event. The media will be invited, so wear your best suit.
Unitarian Universalists on Cape Cod will gather with others on New Years Day (January 1st) for an environmental justice discussion and a holiday walk around Eel Pond in Wood Hole. The theme for the year 2008 is "Energy, Peace, Justice." All people are invited.
A community discussion about environmental justice issues starts at 11:00 at the Woods Hole Community Hall. At noon, people move outdoors for a festive walk through the village and down to the ocean's edge. Families toast each other and their environment with non-alcoholic beverages.
