Women’s Trip to Nicaragua! To continue the First Parish Church of Groton’s work in Nicaragua, a Women’s Trip is planned for October 18-26th, 2008.

You are invited to join women from 1st Parish Church of Groton on an exciting Women’s Trip to Nicaragua this October, 18-26, 2008. We’ll stay in the farming community of Papayal (located just outside of Managua and in the heart of the largest free-trade zones in Nicaragua), where we’ll work side-by-side with local families, helping construct a home and plant a community garden. Thanks to fundraising efforts through Bridges to Community, women from the small rural village of Santa Rosa will travel to join the Papayal group learn about women’s cooperatives and micro-loan opportunities. CROP Walk Recruiters, Youth Leaders, The 2008 CROP Walk will be on Sunday, October 19th, starting at Trinitarian Congregational Church, Concord at 2:15 PM with registration and music beginning at 1:30 PM Mary Brannelly will talk about one of the local hunger programs Maynard Food Pantry The Maynard Food Pantry provides free groceries to 40-45 families each week. Maynard residents shop twice per month and residents from surrounding towns may shop once per month. Please contact Norman Miller Start: 5:00 pm
