The crisis in family homelessness is escalating rapidly. Every night in Massachusetts, 2,000 homeless families are in shelters and more than 1,000 stay in motels. Thousands more are doubled or tripled up in others’ apartments, moving from one location to another.

Hear the Vision for a new system, where shelters are used only for emergency transitions and everyone has a permanent place to live.

Unitarian Universalists work hard against systems of domination and oppression. The needs created by these systems are enormous and the strategies for dealing with them perplexing. Those working for transformation can easily feel overwhelmed and spent.

Howard Zinn’s “The People Speak” – The All Souls Community Forum is pleased to present a special screening of the new Howard Zinn tribute film, “The People Speak,” a documentary based on Howard Zinn’s groundbreaking books A People’s History of the United States and Voices of a People’s History of the United States. The documentary shows the rich history of dissent in our nation’s history, and explores why it is so relevant and urgent today. Come hear the likes of Matt Damon, Viggo Mortensen, Sean Penn, Don Cheadle and many others pay tribute to a Boston Great.
