Co-sponsored by the Sustainability Institute, Clean Water Action, First Parish Cambridge (Unitarian Universalist), Cambridge Green Decade Coalition,
Greenport, Mass Climate Action Network, Somerville Climate Action

As scientific research reveals increasingly alarming climate changes, how do we effectively communicate the enormity of the problem and involve more people in taking action?  This is a “skills enhancement” workshop for anyone seeking to learn how to effectively communicate the climate and energy crisis to the general public and be able to catalyze more action in your community.

Develop your skills in:

Describing the latest climate science and what it means for our lives and the world.
Summarizing the range of solutions critical to sustaining human civilization and many of the earth’s species and ecosystems
Identifying the emotions and reactions people have when they realize the dimensions of the climate crisis, and responding effectively;
Engaging more people in education and action.

You will be updated on the latest strategies for action. We’ll explore how to choose strategies for engaging particular populations. Clean Water Action and the MA Climate Coalition will provide an update on what’s ahead in advocacy and the MA Climate Action Network will share the Cool Mass Campaign.

Rev. Fred Small will help celebrate our gathering and inspire us with music.
Many thanks to First Parish in Cambridge for generously donating use of their building.
