When: Tuesday, April 21, 2009, 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Where: First Church in Boston, 66 Marlborough St., Boston
What: Morning discussion of two issues and strategies to lobby them followed by role playing and a walk to the State House to meet with legislators and their aides. The day includes breakfast, lunch, and last of all, ice cream sundaes!
Who: Youth, (grade 6 and up) Coming of Age groups, parents, youth leaders, friends, and guests are invited to this event and to participate in the discussions
Cost: $10 per youth or attendee
Issues for Action: One issue we will be covering will be the Health Education Bill in Massachusetts (www.careforyouthma.org) which would mandate health education in our public schools
