About the World Café Format
As Meg Wheatley says... “Intelligence emerges as a system connects to itself in new and diverse ways.” Each participant in the Café represent an aspect of the whole system’s diversity and as each person has the chance to connect in conversation more the intelligence inherent in the group becomes accessible.
A World Café is a warm, engaging, fun, and highly interactive brainstorming session that generates lots of great ideas and social connections in a relatively short period of time. It is used to generate
Set up: five tables have been set up for six participants. Each table contains flipchart paper and markers and has a table host. The host will help synthesize the conversation, ensure that ideas are recorded on flipchart(s) and will provide continuity to the second group that will meet at the table.
