All Souls Community Forum – Bankers, Brokers, Bubbles & Bailouts: An Economic Crisis Workshop. Presented by Jeannette Huezo of United for a Fair Economy. Saturday, April 17, 2 pm – 4 pm. At All Souls Church, 196 Elm Street, Braintree (Corner of Church and Elm). This workshop is designed to help us understand the policies and practices that led to last year’s financial meltdown. It explores what has gone wrong, and illustrates and demystifies our underlying economic structures. It identifies the steps that led to the housing bubble and its collapse, reviews the impact of the crisis on jobs, families and communities, and explores strategies for building power through a broad-based social movement for economic justice.
