Unitarian Universalism depends upon the strength of lay-leadership to flourish. Authority lies with our congregations and the ministries to which they are called. At the same time, we call and hire ministers, religious educators, administrators, and musicians to lead and guide our congregations.
Ideally the relationship between our professionals and our lay leadership is complementary and mutually beneficial, but inevitably some tension arises around who is responsible for what.
Keynote Speakers: Gini Courter, Moderator of the UUA. Rev. Rob Eller-Isaacs, President of the UU Ministers Association.
