Stand Against Racism – Friday, April 30th

The YWCA is sponsoring an Anti-Racism event on Friday April 30th. All are welcome to attend! The intent is to help people who are committed to eliminating racism network and learn about what each other is doing. This event is intended to be a kick-off event with the hope that organizations will continue to educate and work for change throughout the year.

9:00 – 10:00 AM Tim Wise will speak at the YWCA (One Salem Sq. Worcester, next to the public Library, off of Main St.)

We are having our "Green Sanctuary Sunday" and have Emily Boedecker, the Outreach Director from the Vermont Nature Conservancy is speaking to us on "the Why's of Land Conservation". As you probably know, Vermont is a leader in environmental education and Emily is part of this exciting work. The service will end at 11:30, but Emily will be available for Q&A during coffee hour which immediately follows the service.

The Dances of Universal Peace are joyous and meditative circle dances honoring the spiritual traditions of the world. The dances use simple folk movements along with songs and chants from the world's sacred traditions. All the dances are taught during the session so no prior experience is necessary. All are welcome!!!
