Discssion: Why is it so Hard for White People to Talk About Racism?

  • 478 Main St Winchester, MA 01890 USA (map)

Free Event, Open to the Public

It’s not just about prejudice. It’s about the systems in our society. Most white people grew up thinking white was normal—we didn’t have a race. All are welcome to join the discussion of what it means to be white in America and why being “color-blind” is not the solution.  On January 27th, we will be discussing Robin DiAngelo’s book, White Fragility and what those of us who are white can do to interrupt racism. Please join us!

We will gather for light refreshments at 1:45 and the discussion will begin at 2 p.m.  Members of the Racial Justice Book Group will present ideas for small group discussions.   FLYER
